Dr. hist. eccl. Andris Priede is associate professor and leading researcher of the Department of the History of Church and Religions of the Faculty of Theology, University of Latvia, associate professor of the Riga Higher Institute of Religious Sciences affiliated to the Pontifical Lateran University (RARZI), is involved in the Commission of the Sacral Art with the Riga Metropolis. Has studied in the Art Academy of Latvia and the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, Italy. Research field: history of Church with specialisation in Eastern Christianity, Christianity and art, and Catholic reform and Protestant reformations.
