Pedagogy, along with its complex object of study — upbringing/education — is indissolubly linked with the processes of societal development. The roots of pedagogy are directly related to the cultural-historical development of our civilization. The problems associated with upbringing have come to the forefront in the work of many researchers and scientists of the late 20th and early 21st centuries. It is a time when many countries are substituting totalitarian regimes with democracy. Therefore, in accordance with the necessities of our age, this article argues for a new object of study in the science of pedagogy.
