In the article Latvian philosopher Raivis Bičevskis analyses, by referring to the book Gedenkblätter by Ludwig Klages, published by the Klages Society, the scientific heritage and the multifaceted description of the path of life of the German philosopher and thinker. L. Klages
has strived to create a biocentric, life-based outlook, which leads away from anthropocentrism, the placing of man at the centre of the world and reality. Klages’s ideas are still relevant in the present time — modern culture has not been able to break away from the underlying contradictions in its relationship with nature.
