Nicolas W. Balabkins, Ph. D., is an Emeritus Professor of Economics at the Lehigh University in Bethlehem, the U.S., since 1957. Research interests: the concept of forced labour, Russian economic thought and its debilitating legacy, the clash of political and economic nationalism in Latvia, Schumpeter’s innovators, biobibliography of Carl Ballod. He has authored 13 books, his publications are available at Misiņša library in Riga, Latvia.
