Mg. soc. sc., Mg. phil. Ilze Apine has obtained a master’s degree in social sciences, in information and communication science, at the Rīga Stradiņš University (2009) and a master’s degree in the humanities at the University of Latvia, Faculty of History and Philosophy (2021), defending her thesis “Animals in Bioart: Posthumanist Perspective”. Research interests: ethics, biopolitics, animal studies, social philosophy.
