Gunther Neumann, Prof., Dr. phil., Dr. math., studied physics (Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg), defended his doctoral thesis in mathematics (1986) and in philosophy (1998). He was a scholarship recipient at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, United States, conducted studies in physics in the research programmes of Fraunhofer Society. G. Neumann is a member of the Scientific Council for international research publications Heidegger’s Studies and Heidegger’s Yearbook, as well as the editor of Heidegger’s collected works. Research interests
are related to relationships between science and philosophy, physics, mathematics, phenomenology, natural philosophy, the history of ancient and modern philosophy, issues of metaphysics and ethics. Author of multiple articles, professor and visiting professor of a number of
universities (Freiburg, Munich, etc.).
