Daniela Zālīte holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Philosophy from the University of Latvia and plans to continue her studies with a PhD. The interests of Daniela Zālīte extend towards aesthetics, art philosophy, feminist philosophy, and phenomenology. Daniela Zālīte regularly writes reviews of photography galleries for the publication FK Magazine and got awarded the “NN award for new critics” for her work in reviewing galleries through 2023. Her writings have been published in the philosophy magazine Tvērums. Daniela Zālīte currently participates in two projects: “Hesitant Bodies: Phenomenological Analysis of the Embodied Experience of Vaccine Hesitancy” and “Forgotten Philosophers: Erika Sehl and Kurt Stavenhagen at the Herder-Institute in Riga and in the World”.
