Proceedings of the Latvian Academy of Sciences (Proceedings of LAS)

Scientific journal of the Latvian Academy of Sciences “Proceedings of the Latvian Academy of Sciences” (Proceedings of LAS) is anonymously peer-revied scientific serial of the Latvian Academy of Sciences, that publishes on a regular basis original academic articles of members of the Latvian Academy of Sciences and other scientists on topical and important scientific topics, original results of theoretical and applied research and findings, as well as problem articles, scientific discussions and correspondence. The Journal informs about current events from the scientific life in Latvia and events in the Latvian Academy of Sciences. The Journal was founded in 1946 and the very first issue was published in August 1947.
The title of the journal is in Latvian: „Latvijas Zinātņu Akadēmijas Vēstis”. Since 1992, “Proceedings of LAS” are published in two sections with different ISSN numbers:
“Latvijas Zinātņu Akadēmijas Vēstis. A daļa: Humanitārās un sociālās zinātnes”, ISSN 1407-0081, e-ISSN 2592-8848 (publishing articles in humanities and social sciences in Latvian, English and German languages with summaries in English and Latvian);
„Proceedings of the Latvian Academy of Sciences. Section B: Natural, Exact and Applied Sciences”, ISSN 1407-009X (publishing articles in Natural, Exact and Applied Sciences in English language only).
